Salmane, a young refugee from Senegal living in Turkey, dreams of reaching Europex{2014}of resuming the university studies he was forced to abandon, and of supporting the family who depends on him. Each attempt to cross the border ends in violence, his hopes beaten back. On the very day filming of this documentary was to begin, Salmane vanished. Guided by his own words and fragments stored in his phone, the documentary retraces the echoes of a life suspended between memory and disappearance.
